Brest Festival August 2012
In 2008 Annabel J took part in the Brest festival,  Every 4 years the people of Brest in southern Brittany host this spectacular event and welcome over two thousand classic vessels and tall ships from all around the world.

The Brest festival is a celebration of traditional sail, music, food, and drink and is perfectly orchestrated as only the French seem to know how to do.  More details of the event can be found by clicking on the links below.

Monday 7th - Tuesday 15th July 2008. 8 Days

During the passage from Hamble to Brest via the wonderful Channel Islands, we will encounter the UK’s most beautiful craft all bound for this incredible fete. Once there, the Bretons put on one of the greatest sailing spectacles in the world. Literally thousands of craft gather to race, laugh and share in the joy of our joint heritage. With Bastille Day on the 14th and the music of every kind, from brass, Celtic, Breton and shanty’s, the French really know how to throw a party. Come along, bring an instrument and revel in the atmosphere, it’s easy with local airport connections from Brest with Flybe.com to Exeter, Birmingham, Manchester and Southampton.
