In 2008
Annabel J took part in the
Brest festival, Every 4 years the people of Brest in
southern Brittany host this spectacular event and welcome over
two thousand classic vessels and tall ships from all around the
world.
The Brest festival is a
celebration of traditional sail, music, food, and drink and is
perfectly orchestrated as only the French seem to know how to

Brest International Festival of the Sea - Join in the Hamble,
Solent and end in Brest

During the
passage from Hamble to Brest via the wonderful Channel Islands,
we will encounter the UK’s most beautiful craft all bound for
this incredible fete. Once there, the Bretons put on one of the
greatest sailing spectacles in the world. Literally thousands of
craft gather to race, laugh and share in the joy of our joint
heritage. With Bastille Day on the 14th and the music of every
kind, from brass, Celtic, Breton and shanty’s, the French really
know how to throw a party. Come along, bring an instrument and
revel in the atmosphere, it’s easy with local airport
connections from Brest with
Flybe.com to Exeter, Birmingham, Manchester and Southampton.

incredible festival, from the fantastic last night fireworks to
