Every 2 years Annabel J visits Paimpol in northern Brittany to be part of the fantastic Paimpol Fête du Chant de Marin. . The next Festival is in 2013.

The Paimpol Festival is every 2 years and is a celebration of traditional sail, great music, food, and drink and is perfectly orchestrated as only the French seem to know how to do. We lock in the the inner harbour on the Thursday evening and after a very warm welcome, the festival starts on Friday morning. The atmosphere is electric and the tiny harbour is filled with classic boats of all types and sizes all dressed overall and sails hoisted. Sail in Company: On the voyage to and back from Brittany we sail in company with the other Solent-based Pilot Cutters. Annabel J spends 12 days exploring the beautiful Channel Isles and North Brittany coast including 3 days at Paimpol to enjoy the ever spectacular festival. You can join us for the whole 12 days or spend 6 days with us. This is also a good opportunity to combine your sailing with a holiday in Brittany. Travelling to or from Brittany is easy and ticket prices are very reasonable by either ferry to St Malo or Budget airlines. |

Annabel J - Paimpol Festival Part 1 - Join in the Hamble, Solent and end in Paimpol 6 Day Cruise You join Annabel J at 4PM on Sunday in Hamble and set off on the first leg of the voyage. During the passage from Hamble to Paimpol we will visit the wonderful Channel Isles and north Brittany ports such as Treguierre and the Ille de Brehart. We aim to arrive in Paimpol on Thursday evening and will receive a warm Brittany welcome. The Channel isles and Brittany coast is arguably the best cruising ground in the world with its spectacular scenery, picturesque harbours and beaches and wonderful food and wines. The schedule is not rushed and there is always a good balance between sea miles and sight-seeing. The voyage will involve watch keeping and all aspects of running the ship. The guests are always encouraged to be fully involved in the sailing and the voyage is suitable for all levels of experience from the complete novice to hardened sailors. |
