Due the the popularity of the event, we strongly advise an early booking to save disappointment.
The weekend starts on Thursday afternoon when you will join Annabel J in Hamble - race preparation and practice will take place the following day followed by an evening ashore in Cowes. The skipper is a veteran of 14 Round the Island races.
Saturday is the day of the race and starts early as we are one of the first classes to get underway. You will be amazed at the power of Annabel J's sails as she overhauls many modern yachts, even in light winds. Her 40 tonnes displacement makes for a very stable platform which will re-assure even the most nervous guests.
Racing normally takes around 10 hours, but will seem more like 10 minutes as you enjoy the thrill of racing alongside so many other yachts.
Saturday evening will again be enjoyed in Cowes, where many stories will be told and re-told of the famous round the island race. Why do we do it? - Because it is there!!!!!
After an exhausting day, there will be no rush to start early on Sunday. After a leisurely breakfast you can enjoy a peaceful sail in local waters before returning to the Hamble.
Weekend Cost for the charter of the Yacht, for up to 12 guests, professionally skippered including food: £3050
Individual places: £380pp Full Board
* Annabel J sleeps 10 Max, but for an event such as this, additional accommodation can be arranged ashore (if you book early) or on camp beds.
