Voyage
Information:
AJ 901:
Annabel J operates with a volunteer Mate. To this end we
offer selection voyages to train/select suitable candidates.
Initially, formal qualifications are not required, just a love of sailing and an ability to get on with people. When suitably
experienced, a volunteer Mate can benefit from 1/2 price voyages.
3/4 Day
long Weekend Voyages: Get a taste of Sailing this
beautiful Pilot Cutter in the relative shelter of the Solent and South
Coast. Explore the quaint harbours of the Isle of Wight and the
sheltered anchorages. During the 3 day voyage we will take you as
far as Poole or Weymouth, weather permitting. The main aim of
these voyages is to provide a relaxing, enjoyable and exciting short
break on one of the most luxurious and beautiful classic yachts on the South Coast.
These voyages are very suitable for novices due to the sheltered waters,
but also due to the strong tides and shallow banks, remain a
challenge to the seasoned sailor.
AJ 908
& 912 Coastal Cruises Between Cornwall and Hamble. Great for those who like to get
the miles in. These voyages will involve watch keeping; night
sailing and full involvement in running the ship. Ideal for
sailing and navigation practice. We aim to make at least 2 stops
along the Coast in harbours such as Fowey, Salcombe or Dartmouth.
AJ 909 &
911
Isles of Scilly and Cornwall. Enjoy the Scillies and Cornish
coast; wildlife & fabulous scenery on one of the largest and most luxurious
Pilot Cutters. We will sail to the Scillies leaving early morning then
spend 4 days discovering the beauty of the unique Scilly Islands, stopping
at a different Island each day. Finally we will head back to St Mawes
probably sailing overnight. There is no better way to visit the Scilly
Isles. 6 days of pure enjoyment!

918: The Brittany coast is arguably the most picturesque and
rewarding sailing area in the world. Annabel J is spending 12 days
exploring the North Brittany coast stopping in the Channel Isles
en-route. The voyage has been timed to take advantage of the Paimpol festival. You can join us for the full 12 days or for 6
days by joining/leaving in Paimpol. North Brittany area enjoys
straight forward ferry access from the UK. See
www.brittanyferries.com or

http://www.breton-homes.com/direct-flights-to-brittany.asp and
straight forward rail links. Brittany is a wonderful holiday
destination, so why not combine your sailing holiday with a stay ashore.

AJ 914,
915 & 920 Channel
Isles and Normandy Adventure: As soon as initial briefings are
completed, you will set sail on the first leg of the voyage. This
will be to a suitable night anchorage to be ready for an early start the
next morning for the Channel crossing. The aim of the first leg is
familiarisation and to save time on the first morning on the voyage South. There will be an early start
on the 2nd day
and you will be hoisting sails as the sun rises - possible destinations: Honfleur,
Alderney or StVaast. During the crossing you will experience all
aspects of running the ship - steering, hoisting sails, navigating,
watch keeping and helping to prepare meals. The Channel Isles and
North coast of France are a real jewel and have mostly remained unspoilt
by the bustle of modern life. Enjoy the sandy beaches of Alderney,
the fantastic Channel Isles seafood, the quaint French cafes and markets
- just slow down and soak up the atmosphere. These voyages are
also suitable for novices. Annabel J is a very large yacht,
forgiving, reassuring and extremely seaworthy.
